    Sweet Talk

Sweet Talk is the debut studio album by Australian recording artist Carmen Caro. It was released on September 16, 2013, by Oceanic Records. By incorporating pop instrumentals with powerhouse vocals, the album was influenced by Adele, Beyonce and Rihanna, amongst other of Caro's greatest musical influences. Caro describes the album as being both a record to dance to and about having fun as well as an album full of deep lyrical meaning mixed with strong vocals, showing that not all dance music is auto-tuned. The album, entirely written and co-produced by Caro herself, was recorded, written and produced in the span of two weeks. Although the album is fairly consistent, it does dip into the realm of alternative and chill music.

The album was promoted throughout 2013 with a promotional tour, Meet Carmen, which lasted from February to May. The album was preceded by the release of the lead single, "Sweet Talk", which debuted at number 4 on the ARIA charts. The single would go on to peak at number 2 and be certified 2x Platinum. In June of the same year, two promotional singles were released, titled "Fill Me Up" and "All Night". They peaked at 11 and 15, respectively, and were both certified platinum by ARIA. The 2nd official single was released in October, a month after the album was released. The single failed to debut on the ARIA charts, however after a performance on both The Voice & The X Factor Australia, as well as a small radio tour, the song managed to enter the charts at number 1 in its third week. As of 2017, the song is 5x Platinum. The third single, "Rush", was released in February of 2014 and debuted at number 4 on the ARIA charts. It has been certified 6x Platinum. The week following its release, it rose to number one, becoming Caro's second consecutive number one hit. The fourth and final single, "Close To Me", was released in April and debuted at number 39 on the charts. After ten weeks of a gradual climb, it reached its peak at number 2, blocked by the song "Never Find" by Evelyn Fenbury, which featured Caro. The song went on to be certified 3x Platinum.

Sweet Talk debuted at number one on the chart, selling 63,000 copies in its opening week. Internationally, the album reached the Top 30 in the US & the UK, selling 18,000 copies worldwide. As of August 2017, the album has sold 500,000 copies worldwide and has spent 205 weeks on the ARIA albums chart.

Critical Reception - 77% on Metacritic based on 5 reviews, indicating a 'brilliant record'. The album is cited as being a unique, yet working, blend of dancepop with traditional power ballads which proved to be a commercial success. Caro's vocals were universally praised, however the production was called 'tacky' and 'unfinished' by some critics.

Commercial Reception - On September 18, ARIA predicted the album would sell between 35,000 and 50,000 copies in its opening week, ending September 23. After the album was released, it went to number one in both New Zealand and Australia, where it reached number one in under 5 minutes. Sweet Talk officially debuted atop the charts, with 63,000 copies in its first week, becoming Caro's first number one album. The sales were considerably strong on the physical front, with over 42,000 being physical units.

      Warrior

Warrior is the second studio album by Australian singer Carmen Caro, released on April 13, 2015, by Oceanic Records. Caro describes 'Warrior' as a way to instate herself as a strong contender in both life and the music industry, someone who is not to be doubted. Compared to her previous album, Sweet Talk (2013), this album features a much more distinctive pop sound with more simplistic vocals and lyrics. In the week following its release, the album topped the ARIA Album charts, selling 80,000 copies in its first week. It debuted in the top 20 in the USA, Europe and Latin America and sold 45,000 copies internationally. As of August 2017, the album has sold 465,000 copies in Australia and 760,000 copies overall worldwide and has spent 123 weeks on the ARIA albums chart.

The album was preceded by the release of the lead single "Fighting For Love". After its release on November 17, 2014, the single debuted at Number 1 on the ARIA Singles Chart, as well as Top 10 in Latin America, Europe and the UK. It has been certified 13x Platinum by ARIA and has sold 1.5 million copies worldwide. The second official single "Fear", featuring Australian rapper Evelyn Fenbury, was released in February of 2015. The single debuted at 32 on the ARIA charts and reached its Number 1 peak in its fourth week. It is certified 9x Platinum and has sold 980,000 copies internationally. The third single, "Chains", was released on May 25, 2015, and debuted in the Top 10 of Europe, the UK and Australia, where it debuted at number 9. In its second week it hit Number 1, becoming Caro's third consecutive Number 1 and fifth overall. The single is certified 9x Platinum by ARIA and has sold 1 million copies worldwide. The fourth single, "All Too Much", was released in August of 2016, and debuted & peaked at Number 2 on the ARIA chart. It is 2x Platinum in Australia and has sold 780,000 copies worldwide. The fifth single, "Hold Me", was released in late November. It didn't make an appearance on the ARIA chart until its fourth week, when it reached number 22. The following week, it peaked at number 4 on the chart. It is certified 3x Platinum by ARIA and has sold 830,000 copies globally. The sixth, and final single, "In The Dark" was released in February 2016 and it debuted and peaked at Number 2 on the ARIA Singles chart. It is certified Platinum and has sold 670,000 copies worldwide.

Critical Reception - 66% on Metacritic based on 9 reviews, indicating "generally favourable reviews". The albums main criticism was the depature from the unique sound which made Caro famous, opting for a much more mainstream, consumable pop sound. "The album is, well, completely unmemorable. There is not one song that I stopped on and thought 'Wow, this is going to be a classic'. And it is not that [Caro] creates bad music, its just there was nothing outstanding about this record." AllMusic criticised Caro's use of her sexuality on some songs stating that it distracted from her true strength, her vocal ability.

Commercial Reception - On April 16, ARIA released its first week prediction for Caro's sophomore effort, stating that it was likely the album would sell between 55,000 and 75,000 copies. Like her previous release, the physical sales were impressive, standing at 52,000 copies sold.

Tour - In June of 2015, Caro embarked on her first world tour titled Warrior Worldwide. The first leg consisted of 18 dates across Australia, with every single show selling out. Caro performed to 458,000 fans across the country and grossed $40,000,000. Following this, in August & September, Caro took to Europe where she performed 14 shows, performing for 120,000 people and grossing $6,000,000. Throughout late October and November, Caro toured the United Kingdom and performed 12 shows for 130,000 people. This leg grossed approximately $6,000,000 too. In February, March & April of 2016, she toured the Americas, performing 24 shows in the US, Canada and Latin America. She performed for around 84,000 people and grossed $4,000,000. Up!

Up! is the third studio album by Australian recording artist Carmen Caro, released on February 6, 2017, by Oceanic Records. The album is a highly-anticipated follow-up to her second studio album Warrior (2015), and it is her second album to be entirely self-written and produced. The album was originally going to be titled Loud with the album track and single "Loud" serving as the lead single, that plan was scrapped, however, when the track leaked online. The albums title was then changed to Up! with the track "Up" becoming the lead single. Up! is a primarily pop record with alternative and chill music influences scattered throughout the tracks. The album was recorded from October 2015 to January 2016.

The album debuted at number 2 on the US Billboard 200 chart, earning 360,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. In Australia, the album debuted at number 1, selling 570,000 copies in its first week. The album debuted in the Top 10 of all territories and sold a total of 1,160,000 units in its first week worldwide. As of May 2019, the album has sold over 3,000,000 copies worldwide, becoming Caro's most successful release. The album is certified 13x Platinum by ARIA, Platinum by RIAA and Gold by BPI. The album spent a total of 28 weeks in the Top 10.

The lead single "Up" was released on August 15, 2016, and debuted at number one in Australia as well as the Top 5 in Europe and the UK. It has been certified 18x Platinum by ARIA as well as Gold by RIAA. It is officially the best selling single in Australia since certifications began in 1983. She also hold the position for third best selling single with "Fighting For Love". The second single, "Hundred Years", was released in November and debuted in the Top 20. It eventually peaked at number one and is certified 4x Platinum in Australia and has sold 660,000 copies internationally. A promotional single, "Dancing In The Dark", was released in late January and, even though it was only available digitally, it debuted at Number 1 in Australia. It has since been certified Platinum. The third single "Loud" was released on March 27, 2017, and debuted at Number 1 in Australia as well as 2 in the United Kingdom. It has sold 160,000 copies worldwide in its first week. As of May, it has been certified 6x Platinum by ARIA and has sold 1.3 million copies worldwide. The fourth single "Need You" was released on June 26, 2017. The song debuted at Number 1, as well as the Top 10 in Europe and the UK. It also became Caro's first song to enter the Billboard Hot 100, debuting at 55 and peaking the next week at 36. As of August, the song has sold 1 million copies worldwide. The fifth and sixth singles, "Flying" and "Heartbeats", are set for release in February and June, respectively, of 2018. Flying debuted at Number 1 in Australia and the UK, becoming Caro's first number 1 in the latter.

Critical Reception - 87% on Metacritic based on 8 reviews, indicating "universal acclaim". The album was heavily praised for its overall theme of happiness and its feel-good vibe. Although the album is a distinctively pop record, Caro was still praised for its delivery, production and lyrical content. "The album is full of potential hits and classics, with extremely poppy records like "Up" to incredible ballads like "Hundred Years", the album is an excellent portrayal of diversity in pop culture and music."

          In My Head

In My Head is the upcoming fourth studio album by Australian singer Carmen Caro, to be released on June 17 2019, by Oceanic Records. The album was recorded from September 2017 to September 2018. In My Head debuted at Number 1 in Australia, Europe and the UK, selling 260,000 in the aforementioned. In the Uk & Europe the album sold a total of 350,000 copies. In the US, the album debuted at Number 6, selling 120,000 copies. Overall, the album sold a total 765,000 units in its first week. As of August, the album has sold 1.7 million copies worldwide. The album spent a total of 13 weeks atop the ARIA charts.

The lead single "Control My Mind" was released on April 15 of 2019, selling 690,000 copies worldwide in its first week. It debuted at Number 1 in Australia, the UK and Europe, becoming her first chart-topping single in the latter. The song also debuted at Number 3 in Canada and 8 in the US, becoming her first Top 10 single in both. It has been certified 15x Platinum by ARIA, Platinum by RIAA and Silver by BPI. The promotional single "The Way" was released one week before the album. The second single, "No Choice", was released on September 16 and debuted at Number 1 in the US, becoming Caro's first single to top the chart. The single sold 325,000 in its first week. "Thinking Bout You" is to be released on February 2, 2020, as the third single from the album. The fourth and final single, "No One Else, is set for released during May of 2020.

Critical Reception - 100% on Metacritic based on 14 reviews. "At 25 years old, Caro has definitely experienced so much since her debut, which is showcased in the lyricaal content of the songs. Sonically, the songs are the most pop-based [Caro] has released since her debut, however they are also the best production-wise. Even more impressive, Caro wrote and produced the entire album herself. The opening track, Thinking Bout You, is a strong ballad with a dance-orientated instrumental, obviosuly geared towards commercial success. Next is Missing, an almost eery ambient track with heavily processed vocals - they don't, however, put a strain on the listeners and instead work perfectly. No Choice is again another dance and commercial orientated track which explores a teenage love gone astray. Behind every radio-friendly sound, there is a deep meaning in every song on the album. All Alone & Memories are both slow ballads which explore the loss of a lover and how they've affected Caro. No Way To Forget describes the story of a cheating lover on top of a dance and trap orientated beat. The Way is an R&B influenced track which features the strongest vocals on the album and is, surprisingly, a song about sex. Come Back is another ambient pop track on the album which features very light vocals over an eery beat, with incredibly high whistling sounds. The closing track, No One Else, is about someone who tries tirelessly to get over someone, but no one can make her feel the same way. Overall, the album is one of the best of its genre this decade, if not the best."

          Tour - My Mind Tour
          Leg 1 (OC) - 18 Shows - July 11 to August 31 - $88.43 million
          Leg 2 (AS) - 6 Shows - December 10 to December 31
